According to Cary Williams it's time to grab hold of the theme "Too Pretty!" And the TikiBeachShop.com crew agrees! First -Cary Williams is a former world-class boxer, Olympic level trainer, philanthropist, cover model, writer, fitness expert, speaker and business owner based in Santa Monica California. Secondly, her new adventure, Too Pretty Brand, fights against the mixed messages about what girls should and should not do via a line of clothing geared towards empowerment with style!
"The general message behind the brand is that, as girls/women, we are too often told that we are too pretty, fragile or delicate to do certain things," Cary said. "As a fighter, I was constantly told that I was too pretty to be a boxing and at the same time told that I fought like a boy?"
Cary says that the mixed messages she recieved are the same ones young ladies are still getting today. Her new brand, Too Pretty Brand, leads the way against those messages by offering new - positive ones.
Girls are lead to believe that in order to be a competitive, powerful athlete, their femininity would have to be sacrificed. Girls and women of all ages should be encouraged to feel confident, powerful, beautiful and intelligent, no matter what their passions are in life."
The Too Pretty brand has caught the eyes of young girls and women who are doing “non-traditional” activities, sports and professions. New lines are created quarterly to encompass the“Too Pretty” mindset.
The first line Cary introduced was “ Hit Like A Boy” to relate to her sport of boxing. When female athletes of sports other than boxing started to want the shirts, Cary decided it was time to expand the brand. New lines will now include “Play Like A Boy”, “Shred Like A Boy”, “Shoot Like A Boy”, “Lift Like A Boy”, “#BeABoss”, “TooPretty? Never!” and “Not Your Bitch”.
The Too Pretty Brand was created for girls and women everywhere to be reminded that their gender should never put a ceiling on their abilities.
Founded by former boxer, Cary Williams, the Too Pretty Brand encourages all females to embrace their femininity and beauty as well as their power, intelligence and strength. So often girls are told that they are too pretty or too fragile to compete equally with boys in traditionally male-dominated arenas. As a boxer, Cary was constantly told that she "fought like a boy," and she still considers that one of the best compliment she has ever received.
"Girls are led to believe that in order to be a competitive, powerful athlete, their femininity would have to be sacrificed," Williams said. "Too Pretty has a goal. To empower young girls and women and to encourage them to believe that they can do anything they set their mind to; even stuff that boys do."
